Service Dog handlers and dogs are trained with the skills to meet Public Access Test requirements.

Service Dogs assist in alleviating symptoms in a range of professionally diagnosed medical conditions including Autism Spectrum, PTSD, anxiety, depression, mobility issues, hearing difficulties, diabetes and epilepsy.

To be considered as a Service Dog, your dog must:

  • Be assessed by a qualified instructor to determine the temperament and suitability

  • Be at least 12 months of age

  • Not be a restricted breed in Victoria

  • Be able to handle physical and psychological stress

  • Have already undertaken obedience training through Melanie Scott K9 Training.
